    Whether you are producing a TV show, commercial, feature, or music video – big budget or student film – we want to help make shooting in Jersey City the smoothest part of your production.

  • Locations

    We invite you to take a virtual tour of some of Jersey City’s locations, from the Hudson River waterfront to the Hackensack marshes. Jersey City is home to Victorian parks, urban streets, brownstones, storefronts, basketball courts, tennis courts, high rises, commercial cityscapes, industrial areas and rich historical sites. We are one of the most diverse cities in the US.

  • Pre-production Meeting

    Feature films, television movies, series or specials, elaborate exterior commercial shoots, music videos shooting exteriors with celebrities, or multiple locations will be required to attend a pre-production meeting to review shoot plans and production schedules with your production and location managers. Other productions may be required to meet at the discretion of FilmJC.

    Application for a permit must be filed at least 14 business days before your scheduled shoot. No application will be accepted withing 72 businiss hours (4 business days) before filming.
    All emergency changes should be reported to FilmJC at 201-547-5083.
